The Eighth Doctor and Bliss

We had to end up here eventually. Thanks to the 50th Anniversary special, we know how the Eighth Doctor’s tenure ends, and we know it happens in the middle of the Time War. After several years of saying they’d stay away from the Time War period, Big Finish kept edging closer and closer, until eventually they did the War Doctor series, and then it was Time War for everybody! Well, mostly everybody. The Eighth Doctor is the only other one we know who had direct contact with the war, so we’ve got several boxed sets dedicated to that. Fortunately, Bliss is his companion through much of that time, so I can name this section after her rather than having to call it “The Time War.” Curiously, for a section about the Time War, these stories take place almost exclusively in release order, right up until the end.
