This story starts to wrap up the Divergent Universe arc, but there’s still some questions to be answered before the crew can get there. In keeping with the other stories in this arc, most of it is devoted to figuring out what the heck is going on. The first portion takes place in the Interzone between worlds, where the Doctor confronts the Kro’ka who’s been driving them around all this time and gets directions to where the Divergence live. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the Doctor is split into three separate personas: Eeyore (who’s grumpy and serious, but still cares), Tigger (who’s excited and distractable, but still has goals), and the third one who never gets a name, but seems more contemplative than the others. The plot doesn’t really go anywhere, even though the story is fairly short. Everyone just wanders around rather surreal environments, trying to put pieces together that never quite add up. There’s some OK Doctor-on-Doctor banter, but not as good as a multi-Doctor story, and as you might expect, we get to hear -- or at least it’s implied -- the “dark” Doctor do something unpleasant that he wouldn’t normally do. But that’s all there is; it’s mostly just a lead-in to the next story.
