This is one of those stories where I hope you like the title, because you’re going to be hearing it a lot. It was also originally intended as part of the Divergent Universe arc, so there’s a lot of mind-trippiness and strange forces going on. It turns out that Time Lords never go to newly formed planets without much life, because they have a “morphogentic field” that can be easily influenced and create race memories that echo for millennia. So you definitely don’t want to cause a horrible, tragic event on such a planet, because it’ll remember. It’s apparently also a bad idea to research whether “inherent evil” is an actual thing, and whether you can blast it out of somebody’s brain with radiation. Outside of the more bizarre elements, it’s one of those “scientists mess with stuff they shouldn’t, suffer the consequences” stories, with the Doctor standing around being morally superior the whole time. And we have more blather about C’rizz being a killer. It doesn’t really amount to much in the end. Fortunately, it’s one of the shortest Main Range stories at only 73 minutes. Easily forgettable.
