After a short gap in production time, this is the beginning of another set of four adventures in the Divergent Universe. Someone figured it was past time for C’rizz to deal with the emotional fallout of having to kill L’da several stories ago, so the crew comes across a haven where many religions are welcomed, even encouraged. In keeping with the generally odd nature of these stories, it’s not immediately clear what’s going on. The Doctor and Charley drop C’rizz off at a place of tranquility and go exploring, during which they hear the TARDIS several times but can’t find it. Meanwhile, one of the religions chooses now to start forcibly converting the others through a kind of mind control, and C’rizz seems to be the key. As with the last few stories, there isn’t so much a monster who wants dominion as there’s a concept, or an entity, who doesn’t belong where it is, and is struggling to adapt. It’s fine as a concept for a Doctor Who story, but it does start to get repetitive.
