This story could appear any time in Charley’s early history with the Doctor, but there’s no reason for it not to be here. The main plot is Charley trying to meet one of her heroes, a Victorian explorer whose diary she’d enjoyed as a child. However, even knowing when and where the man should appear, they can’t find him. Which potentially leads to a larger problem with history. This is a longer Short Trip, and tells a full story, so it’s worth the time, and the twist is fairly well done. India Fisher’s version of the Eighth Doctor isn’t particularly accurate, but does capture the breathless quality. It’s a pretty good story on the whole.
