Oddly, I think of these first Short Trips as being too early to include a story with Lucie, but in fact this came out in 2011. It’s narrated by India Fisher, paradoxically, but since the Doctor and Lucie don’t appear for most of it, that doesn’t really matter. It’s told from the point of view of a carnival con-man, who has somehow gotten hold of the TARDIS and is busy sending fairgoers into the future with it, from which they don’t return. Which is something of a problem, but this is a Short Trip, so it gets sorted fairly quickly. India Fisher does a remarkably good job of imitating Lucie, very nearly a direct impression. Her Doctor, as always, sounds a bit off, but that’s expected. It’s a fine little story, neither here nor there.
