If the title makes you think of Krynoids and “The Seeds of Doom,” well, you’d be right. It’s a fairly small cast for what seems like a fairly small story, although it has global implications. In the near future, the Earth’s ecology is getting worse, and there’s a wealthy activist who thinks that Krynoids will solve the problem, for some reason. The activist is played by Nigel Planer, who’s pretty well known, so that’s cool casting. Even in this slightly longer format, the story still seems a bit truncated, with a rather swift resolution. The Doctor is still having trouble adjusting after his long stay on Orbis, having forgotten a lot of things about humanity, and not completely sure about Lucie. But she pulls out all the stops to prove herself worthy of his trust, and mostly pulls it off.
