This is one of the longer Short Trips, one that started as a prose story. It features Kalendorf, and ties to the Dalek Empire storyline, which the Doctor mostly didn’t appear in. There’s not a ton of action, just a very vivid description of a museum commemorating the Dalek War. Specifically, the room where Dalek equipment is stored scares away most citizens, which is why Kalendorf likes to go there, alone with the hatred he still harbors. The Eighth Doctor turns up, with a need to make a decision (probably about the Time War, except he’s described as wearing his original outfit, likely because this was written before we knew about his change, or the War Doctor, or any of it). Kalendorf thinks like a soldier, and would like to use the TARDIS to wipe out the Daleks before they existed. The Doctor, of course, has been there, and is now second-guessing the decision he made then. There’s a plot twist that’s wholly unexpected, and makes up the Doctor’s mind for him, perhaps. It’s a strong story, if you can remember the Dalek Empire stories, and if you can put aside later revelations about the Time War.
