The TARDIS lands on another random planet, hazardous to life, but full of robots building a massive house occupied by humans, Winchester Mystery House style. For the inhabitants, it’s more “Upstairs, Downstairs,” as a strict class system is maintained, despite the fact that they’re all working for survival on an alien planet. That order seems to keep everything in line, and is the key to preventing the terrors outside from getting in, or so we’re led to believe. Lucie almost immediately gets carted off as a potential mate to the scion of the house, although the daughter brings a hint of lesbian subtext. The big secret is what the lord of the manor is up to in his private study, which leads to a lot of inevitable running down hallways and sciency things. The twist isn’t bad, and the setting is very evocative, but the larger plot is kind of standard. It’s also on the short side, for this set.
