The Fifth Doctor, Adric, Nyssa, and Tegan

It took a very long time, but Matthew Waterhouse eventually became one of the last actors to reprise his role for Big Finish, starting with a box set, and then a series of Main Range stories. The writers were then presented with the challenge of making Adric somehow not annoying, while still keeping him recognizable, and for the most part, they succeeded. Most of the Big Finish insertions come later in the season, when the characters have gotten to know one another a bit better, but also because the early stories in this season are linked pretty tightly together. There’s no indication yet of whether this team will do more together, but I’d welcome it.
