This one is deliberately a high-concept murder mystery, referencing Kind Hearts and Coronets, with Samuel West playing seven different characters, all from the same family. This story is also fairly silly, giving a whiplash effect to the trilogy, but it’s less farcical and more clever, with a legitimate murder mystery with a timey-wimey solution, which only works on Doctor Who. All of the characters get to use their personal skills to good effect, Tegan gets a love interest (she hadn’t had one yet in the chronology), and Samuel West shows off his range well.
