The Fifth Doctor and Nyssa

These stories made up a large chunk of the early Big Finish output. Sarah Sutton was one of the only companion actors available at the time, and since there was only a short period between stories (and seasons) where the Doctor and Nyssa traveled by themselves, they all have to go here. As with the Big Finish stories with original companions, release order and chronological order seem to match up during this time, with only a couple of exceptions. It certainly gives Nyssa a chance to grow as a character, but she ultimately can’t change all that much, because she needs to get back to the same person she was in “Arc of Infinity.” Still, Big Finish keep returning to this period from time to time, based on actor availability.
