I’m a fan of Paul Cornell, and I like stories that tie the Big Finish timeline to Stockbridge, the small town from the comics where the Doctor likes to show up to rest. Mostly because the Doctor often gets to relax and play cricket while he’s there, and so much of his timeline is about loss, that I like to see him get a break. This story, though, is more about Nyssa’s character than anything else, where she makes some choices that perhaps set her up for her departure in the future.
