For the second month running, the covid lockdown necessitated a release made of short stories with a very limited cast, continuing directly from last month, which means this is “Shadow of the Daleks 2.” The opener finds the Doctor involuntarily hosting a radio call-in show, but he has no idea why. Someone seems to want very angry callers, but the callers don’t seem to know why either. It results in a lot of talking and filler. I can understand why “radio call-in show” would seem an appealing device for an audio story, especially under lockdown conditions, but this one doesn’t seem to advance the story any. The Daleks only appear after the Doctor has already gone.
