Once again, we’ve got the same bunch of characters, and this time in a time loop built around an Agatha Christie-style manor-house murder mystery, where the Doctor is both the detective and the victim. At least now he’s starting to get an inkling of what’s going on in the larger story, recognizing what the time loop is built from, and that the other four characters are unreal fragments, but this seems like another exercise in letting the guest actors stretch out again. The Daleks are back to being shadowy voices in this one, and barely figure. There are some amusing clues that point to the Master’s involvement, but they don’t come to anything. Seems like more filler.
