The TARDIS lands on a ship of women prisoners being transported to Australia. (Amazingly, he only mentions Tegan once, and doesn’t go for the cheap shot.) It’s one of those “something’s gone wrong, there’s aliens involved, and it’s nobody’s fault” sort of stories that’s more common in the new series. The historical character Mary Ward is the companion substitute for this story, and much like Astrid Peth or Lady Christina, she makes an amazing companion, because she can’t come along. This was the last work by Tommy Donbavand before he passed away, fulfilling his desire to write a Big Finish audio.
