Oddly, the link from the previous story is disposed of almost immediately. There’s another icy planet and another semi-romance for Turlough, so there are echoes of “Kiss of Death” here. It’s also another instance of the Doctor possibly being a bit slow on the uptake to figure out what’s wrong with this society. Unlike the other two stories, this one doesn’t have any strong need to be set in E-Space. And again, the link to the next story is somewhat odd and tacked-on.
