This one is probably my favorite of this trilogy, because it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Even as an American with only slight familiarity with Dad’s Army, I immediately recognized it for the parody that it is. The story holds up reasonably well outside of the parody though, with an interesting plot that takes a while to unravel. Turlough’s character is used effectively here, both his survival instincts and his military background. The Sontarans are all distinct characters with their own motivations, a good trick with clones. And surprisingly for a Sontaran story, Dan Starkey is nowhere to be found.
