I enjoyed this trilogy, and this installment in particular. The Doctor’s enthusing about cricket comes off as more natural this time, and Tegan gets a lot of stuff to do. I found the part-two cliffhanger to be one of the more effective ones I’ve heard in Big Finish. Although Doctor Who often struggles to pull off semi-mystical stories, this one seems to work fairly well. The ending may not be quite as climactic as expected, but it works fairly well. Also, Nyssa gets rejuvenated in this one, which doesn’t seem to affect her attitude any, as she still acts older and wiser. Her voice may change a bit, but mostly it’s just her image on the covers that changes. One wonders why they chose to do that.
