This story is particularly dark, mostly because it’s paired with “Power Game,” but it’s fitting, given that this season’s stories tended to be kind of dark. I think Kamelion’s overactive empathy is used best in this story, where he’s trying to do what he believes is the right thing, but keeps fouling it up. Tegan gets to be justifiably outraged rather a lot too; it’s nice to see her be shouty and right at the same time.
