The third part of the Kamelion trilogy is dedicated to giving him a complete backstory, a hidden agenda, and then a justification for why he gets hidden away in the TARDIS and never mentioned again until “Planet of Fire.” It’s a nice try at closing that hole, but I’m not sure it was necessary. Kamelion’s backstory is OK, if not particularly compelling, and the fourth story in a row with “Kamelion is easily influenced, and therefore dangerous” gets a little wearying. I don’t think this one came out the way it was intended to.
