This is a short trip, set explicitly after the Christmas special “The Feast of Steven” from the middle of “The Daleks’ Master Plan,” and read by Beth Chalmers, veteran of a number of Big Finish roles, but most known for Raine Creevy. Her style doesn’t really match any of the characters in this story, Steven least of all, but that’s all right, because it’s a narrated story. As a Christmas short trip, it’s more whimsical than anything else, and it’s definitely Christmas-related, featuring a boy reliving various Christmases throughout time. The Doctor’s solution to the dilemma may seem a little heartless, and certainly violates the rules of paradox as we’ve been led to understand them, but hey, it’s Christmas, so why not?
