This one is a rather imaginative story, as Vicki and the Doctor traverse a strange landscape occupied by clouds of invisible vapor that cause hallucinations, accompanied by a native guide. The depth of the characterization makes me wonder if this was intended to be a longer story, but perhaps not. Steven is mostly absent from this story, but Peter Purves gets to play the Doctor quite a bit, so that’s fine. I also noticed that the music was unusually detailed for a Short Trip; not sure why they did that. It’s pretty high-concept for this era, but seems to work well.
