Another full-length, full-cast (ish) story, this one from the first box of Early Adventures. As the title implies, this story takes place on Ceres, which lends itself to a “base under siege” scenario, where some of the characters grow increasingly paranoid, except not everything is what it seems. The story proceeds a bit slowly, which is appropriate for the era, but I think it probably could have been compressed without too much difficulty. Peter Purves gets to give his First Doctor impersonation a workout, and does a pretty good job of it. There’s also a good bit of the Vicki/Steven sibling relationship, with a lot of the trope of “Steven is from the future, but Vicki is from further in the future, so she teases him.” On the whole, the story is middling, and not all that memorable.
