The first of the monthly Short Trips range isn’t a complete story by itself, but an interlude set in the part of some other story when the Doctor has been imprisoned and is separated from his companions for a while. It’s read by Peter Purves, but Steven isn’t in it; the Doctor specifically wants to get back to Susan, Ian, and Barbara. A lot of this story depends on the unique point of view of its narrator, so I’m reluctant to spoil it, but it’s fun for a listener, seeing the events of a normal Doctor Who story from an outside perspective. It’s a strong start for the series.
