After several stories in a row featuring Ian, now we get two focusing on Susan. This is the earliest Big Finish story focusing on Susan (she appeared in a couple of Unbound stories before this), and Carole Ann Ford sounds distinctly younger here than she does in other stories. However, it’s an early Companion Chronicle, which means it’s rather talky, with very little in the way of music or sound effects, which is appropriate for this era, but it makes the story tricky to get into. It’s a nice spotlight for Susan, but not a great story.
