Placed here because Ian says they’ve just come from France. As the very first Short Trip, this one goes high-concept. The Doctor and Ian step out of the TARDIS, leaving the women behind momentarily. The natives of this world are primitive, but occupy a separate time stream, so they evolve, form a civilization, and then destroy themselves in the span of a few moments for the travelers. There’s barely a plot, more of an impression, but it’s a strong impression, and a story that sticks with me.
