The Fourth Doctor and Leela (and K-9)

Louise Jameson has been one of the biggest supporters of Big Finish almost since the beginning. She’s now written and directed for them, as well as playing Leela, which she does with astonishing skill. Even though Leela is a very physical character, Jameson manages to perfectly recreate her on audio. Unfortunately, without Tom Baker, she could only participate in some Companion Chronicles and Short Trips. This has never been confirmed, but I imagine she’s played a large part in getting Tom Baker to return on audio. That makes this section unusually long, given her somewhat short tenure on TV, but that’s fine, because Big Finish is able to flesh out the “education” subplot that didn’t see much action on TV.
