This Short Trip is probably longer than it actually needs to be, but it lets us spend time in Leela’s head while she’s still relatively new. They land on an entirely organic spaceship, but unfortunately the crew is dead, as are a bunch of humans who don’t belong there. While trying to figure out what’s going on, they encounter some ghosts, which gives Leela some more mental trouble trying to figure out exactly what’s going on. Like a lot of short trips, there’s not so much an enemy to fight as a problem to resolve. Louise Jameson puts a lot of effort into this one, ramping up the tension.
