The Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane (and Harry)

In a tragedy of bad timing, Tom Baker’s joining Big Finish happened right around the same time as Elisabeth Sladen’s death. According to Baker’s website, he had just agreed with Big Finish to do a series of stories with Sladen as Sarah when she died. She did record two series of solo adventures with Big Finish in 2002 and 2006, which are covered elsewhere, and while she was making The Sarah Jane Adventures on TV, she was unavailable to Big Finish. As of 2022, They’ve very tentatively started using Sadie Miller (Sladen’s daughter) as Sarah Jane, but mostly in Third Doctor adventures for now. UNIT Doctor Harry Sullivan is around for the first half of this era, but Ian Marter sadly died in 1986, and is unavailable. Actor Christopher Naylor has played Harry in a few stories, but few from this era. All of which means this section is somewhat short, despite covering two and half seasons on TV. The inserts here are mainly Short Trips.
