This bonus two-parter has the Doctor fanboying over Mervyn Peake, artist and writer of several novels, particularly Gormenghast. As you can imagine, the story is replete with Gormenghast references, most of which I didn’t get. The Doctor is at his most Fourth Doctory in the surreal setting, full of bizarre observations and commentary that drive Peake to distraction, but Peake finds himself liking the Doctor despite himself. David Holt, well-known English actor, does a very impressive job as Peake. It’s a rather strange story, but if you can roll with it, it’s fun.
