The First and Second Doctors don’t have a lot in the way of Lost Stories, at least not in the sense of stories that were commissioned but never produced, so Big Finish can make them later. And honestly, this one probably deserved to stay lost, because it’s silly, but not in a good way. The TARDIS crew land somewhere in the future, when the Earth is controlled entirely by women, in particular Chairman Babs, who promptly develops a thing for the Doctor, against all logic. The Doctor and Jamie are sent to the titular prison, and Zoe is brainwashed. And honestly, that’s about all the plot there is, which is kind of amazing, given that it’s awfully long for a four-parter. Aside from the sexism inherent in the plot, most of the women are appalling stereotypes. They’re so caricatured that I have to believe it was intentional, in which case, Big Finish bears some responsibility. And the less said about the resolution, the better. I don’t think there’s anything redeemable about this story; it’s just terrible.
