This is a fairly straightforward story about the TARDIS crew ending up on one of those worlds where conscripted warriors participate in arena combat for the amusement of a despot. However, because this is a Short Trip, they’re really no match for various non-violent methods of conflict resolution, or Zoe’s programming skills. As usual, Frazer Hines provides multiple characters, which elevates it above the standard short trip.
