This is one of those Short Trips that’s told from the point of view of a third party, this time a young woman participating in a ritual with two friends, from which one of them won’t return. Naturally, the Doctor and Ace stumble into this, and the Doctor realizes that something else is going on, which involves the words “ancient” and “malevolent.” It goes about the way that you’d expect, but looking at the Doctor and Ace from the outside is always interesting. The narrator is Stephen Critchlow, who does his usual sterling job.
