I’ve been waiting a little over a year (real time) to hear the second part of this story. Unfortunately, it’s really best listened to as one piece. While Peri and Erimem are trying to prevent the wrong person from stealing the diamond, Ace and Hex have to make sure the right person does, and then implicate the wrong person. We find out a bit more about the diamond and why it’s important this time around. But it’s really the Ace and Hex banter that shines in this story, as they both enjoy playing James Bond. There’s no unexpected twists, nor mysterious aliens, so everything goes pretty much to plan, which makes a bit of a change in this set of stories. Ace is still playing the “big sister” to Hex, and he’s still trying, very mildly, to hint at a stronger relationship. It’s a good thing they enjoy themselves here, because things are about to get tougher.
