This short one is a bit of a mystery with a twist, but it links into Evelyn’s personal history, which is something of a change. The plot revolves around a family curse, but the Doctor is able to work out what’s really going on. I don’t particularly like stories that resolve with “and then the Doctor waited around for 100 years for the plot to finish,” but because this one is something of a fairy tale, I’ll feel free to disregard it. The twist ending may not be to everyone’s liking, but it takes the story up a level.
