Big Finish chose to mark their 100th Main Range release with a short story anthology, rather than the big blowout event they’d done for the 50th (to mixed reviews). All the stories feature the Sixth Doctor and Evelyn, and they all have a fair amount of “timey-wimey.” The first two aren’t very serious at all. Oddly, the second story in the set takes place first. The Doctor and Evelyn find themselves in a history in which Mozart never died, and continued creating music for centuries, with diminishing results over time. This leads to a very confused pile-up of Mozart clones, some of whom want to kill him, and others who want to save him. It’s as wacky as it sounds, which is what happens when you turn Rob Shearman loose. Significantly, though, Evelyn participates in changing what she knows as history, without bad results.
