A fairly typical short trip, as the Doctor takes Mel for a trip to the Alps so she can go skiing, and he can take a break. However, the people around him seem to be exhibiting an unusual amount of precognition, which leads the Doctor on a mystery trip to find an alien. There’s no monster or evil to be thwarted, just a mystery, which makes it perfect for this format. Mel barely appears, but that’s OK, as it’s a more introspective story for the Doctor. Which also means that Stephen Critchlow is more appropriate as the narrator, and he does his usual fine job.
