The Doctor and Peri arrive at a women’s college in 1939, where Peri is mistaken for a famous alumna, now a mystery novelist. Peri gets to hold her own as an investigator, and the Doctor gets to bluster a lot. Eventually there turns out to be some sci-fi involved, and everything falls back to the normal patterns. Not quite as compelling as I’d like it to be.
