This is a special release, an hour-long story from 2005. Although other special releases tend to be light or even farcical, this one is grim. It takes place on a steamship in 1901, where an avaricious sailor has discovered a race of mer-men, and is determined to exploit them. As often happens in historical stories, Peri has a particularly awful time, and most of the secondary characters end up dead. As a special, it’s pretty typical.
