This Short Trip is pretty much the definition of the series -- it’s a short scene that resolves quickly. In this case, the Doctor and Peri track down a temporal anomaly to a New York diner and discover a young man from the future who’s inadvertently created a paradox, with grave consequences. Steven Critchlow captures the Doctor’s tone perfectly, and the dialog is spot-on for this period; he’s arrogant, grimly scary, and sympathetic by turns. His Peri is a good try, but he still mispronounces “Maryland.” It’s a decent story, and a good fit for this project.
