This is one of those stories where the Doctor and companion investigate a luxury resort, but not all is as it seems. It was apparently written for the Doctor and Mel as part of the Trial, but was replaced by “Terror of the Vervoids,” which has a similar plot. Peri is inserted as staff, which provides an opening for semi-sexist comments, while the Doctor just kind of hangs around for a while. The story is a bit meandering, taking quite some time to show the baddies and their nefarious plot. This is probably because the courtroom scenes were all excised from the original script, leaving some gaps. The host of the resort is played by Alex MacQueen, who has an excellent voice for the role, but because of his later Big Finish work, gives the impression that the Master is behind all this.
