The third part of Big Finish’s first story takes place here. The Sixth Doctor’s story is the last of the three separate pieces before the Doctors join up, so this one has a plot that’s most connected to the climax. On Gallifrey, the Time Lords fall to the Knights of Velyshaa. The Doctor is on a cruise ship examining the “Kurgon Wonder,” which turns out to be the prison of a Temperon, whose freedom drives the final part of the story. The Sixth Doctor doesn’t really get to do much, compared to the other two. He just shows up, finds a disaster, and tries to figure out what’s going on. Colin Baker’s voice is noticeably younger than other stories (especially the more recent ones just before in this chronology), so much so that it’s distracting. As a solo story, there’s very little to it.
