This was one of the “Subscriber Short Trips,” but fortunately released in the “Short Trips Rarities” collection, so I could get my hands on it. It’s a fairly basic story, but well-suited to this particular Doctor and companion. The Doctor is feeling depressed about his exile, so he seeks out one of those hidden communities of aliens that are dotted around the planet, and leaves without telling anybody. When he doesn’t come back for a while, Liz concludes he’s in danger, and goes looking for him with Benton. She’s clever enough to track down the community in the Scottish Highlands, even though it’s very well-hidden. Unfortunately, that allows a bounty hunter to follow her to the aliens, but since this is a Short Trip, the Doctor settles that quickly. Stephen Critchlow does the narration, and again provides an excellent Third Doctor. His Benton isn’t all that great, but he only has a couple of lines. It’s a nice little story for a Short Trip.
