The first appearance of an alternate dimension on the show, in this case of the “everyone’s an evil fascist” flavor. The evil Brigadier gets an eye-patch instead of a goatee. The final televised appearance of Liz Shaw, although she’s not shown to depart. Possibly the first appearance of the Third Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver, although it’s referred to as a “door handle.” Season 7 ends here, having been much shorter than previous seasons.
