After a bit of coaster overload in summer 2017, I didn’t ride anything for over a year. However, during that time my interest in coasters increased. I started reading coaster sites online, and watching videos from coaster-loving YouTubers. When I decided to take a business trip to THAT Conference in Wisconsin in August, I decided to drive, because a) it’s tough to get there by flying, and b) I knew I’d pass some parks on the way, and I wanted to stop at one or more of them. I hoped to have some company, but it didn’t work out that way. I don’t particularly like doing parks solo, but I figured it was my only chance for some of these coasters, so I went ahead anyway, and I’m mostly glad I did.
