The Eleventh Doctor, Amy, and Rory

Amelia Pond, the Girl Who Waited, and Rory Williams, the Last Centurion. Moffat clearly wanted Amy to be different from the companions who’d come before, and she’s loud, assertive, and probably overconfident. Rory, meanwhile, is patience and devotion incarnate. Except when he’s dead. It’s a different team dynamic for a new Doctor, one who seems to be more open and vulnerable, but who’s concealing an awful lot of what he feels.
