This one is extra timey-wimey, emphasis on “extra.” Which is a good thing, because the Time War we've gotten to see didn’t really have enough of that, but I didn’t expect it from Alfie Shaw; it’s a nice surprise. Basically: The Time Lords eliminated an entire galaxy to prevent the Daleks from using it later. Except it won’t stay gone. Something is bouncing around in time and rewriting history, and Leela, Rasmus, and Veklin get sent to find out what’s up. It’s told in anachronic order…heck, it happens in anachronic order, and time keeps changing, and some of the narrators are unreliable. You may want to take notes as you listen. But among the things that happen is we find out just how ruthless Veklin can be when nobody’s watching. (I’m going to guess this is before her time with Susan.) We also find out that Rasmus lies just as easily as any other Time Lord, and that damages his relationship with Leela. But darkest of all, even Leela isn’t above some creative omission if she thinks it’s necessary, until she gets called on it, anyway. This one’s confusing, but it’s a good one.
