The Doctor Falls

TV Series 10 episode 12

I think this story features the Saxon Master as he was always meant to be played. He's still insane, but he's mostly cunning. He's definitely more evil than the last time we saw him; he doesn't care so much about the Doctor's opinion of him. His reaction to one of the Twelfth Doctor's trademark speeches is both funny and cruel at the same time. He even looks cooler than usual, with his gray hair and proper goatee. He seems fairly obsessed with Missy, which is somewhat uncomfortable, but eventually proves that the Master can't even trust himself. Again. The story ends with the Saxon Master apparently killing Missy, permanently, and Missy killing the Saxon Master, triggering his regeneration into...Missy. It's kind of timey-wimey.
