The Christmas Invasion

TV Christmas Special 2005

Aired: 25 December 2005

Technically the last story of Series 1 (I think), it kicked off the new-series tradition of Christmas specials. It introduced the robo-Santas and the Sycorax, and has the first mention of Torchwood. It also brought back Jackie, Mickey, and Harriet Jones, now Prime Minister (yes, we know who she is). It establishes the Tenth Doctor as friendlier and more willing to engage in “domestics,” but also more arrogant when he ends Harriet’s career.
